The authors of Matthew and Luke each wrote somewhat different genealogies of Jesus, through Joseph, back to the Old Testament figures. Each sought to use numerology to prove that Jesus was predestined to be great. Matthew demonstrated that there were 14 generations: from Abraham to David; from David to Josiah; from Josiah to Jesus. To do this, he had to ignore 3 kings in the Old Testament and have David in the preceding (as 14) and following (as 1) groups, but not so Josiah.
If you mean generations; there were 14 as the Bible says: So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations (Matthew 1.17)
14.
No it goes to Adam..There are 14 generations from Adam to David and 14 to Jesus.
Yes, Jesus Christ is God in the flesh. Read John 1:14.
In Matthew 1:1-16 we are given the genealogy of Jesus Christ. In verse 17 we are told, "So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations, from David until the captivity in Babylon until Christ are fourteen generations". My suggestion to you is to read this portion of Scripture to see who the fourteen generations were.
Jesus Christ was related to Cain only by the fact that Jesus was related to Adam (Humanly speaking) and Cain was a son of Adam. But Cain was not the family line that Jesus came from. Jesus came from the line of Seth, the third son of Adam and Eve. Several thousands of years separated the two generations.
I am not sure who is calling Jesus the "body of Christ", but no, Jesus is not the body of Christ. Believers in Jesus around the world are the body of Christ (Romans 12:5, "...so we (believers), being many, are one body in Christ." Also see I Corinthians 12:14-20; Ephesians 1:22-23.
In Matthew 14:22-23 Jesus reveals who He is and accepts worship.
References to Jesus Christ in the Old Testament can be found in prophecies and foreshadowing, such as in Isaiah 7:14 and Isaiah 53.
The teachings of Jesus ARE Christ's message because he was Jesus Christ. Christ and Jesus are the same person.
That is a wonderful question, but the Bible does not use much punctuation, so in reality, speaking of the grammar, it is suppose to be written Jesus, Christ. not Jesus Christ. As many references in the KJV of the Bible, is Christ Jesus, written correctly Christ, Jesus, or Jesus, Christ. It is referring to Christ.
