Jesus obeyed the laws in the scriptures. Sometimes He pointed out to the pharisees and priests that they were hypocritical in that they did not always obey God's laws and that they made up the most ridiculous rules about obeying the law. When you read Matthew, Mark, Luke and John in The Bible you will see Jesus does that often. To obey God's law is to do it from the heart-not to show off to others how "perfect" you are because you obey them. Loving God is not just about adhering to a set of laws. It is about maintaining a close relationship with Him, loving Him and trusting Him and obeying His will. The number one thing He wants us for us to believe on Him, declare that Jesus is the Son of God and He will reward us with eternal life.

∙ 10y agoThe Jewish laws around the time of Jesus was the same laws that God had given to the Hebrews through Moses at Mount Sinai. But the Jewish leaders had introduced their own interpretation of many of these laws perverting them to such an extent that people following these perversions were completely out of touch with God.
Jesus while on earth followed the true Law of Moses fulfilling the law and not changing it one bit. This is why the Jewish leaders disagreed with Jesus so many times as they had been practicing the perverted laws so long and they did not want to admit they were wrong.

Additionally, as Jesus became the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all mankind and He became our sole Eternal High Priest, the ceremonial Levitical laws of the priesthood and the Sacrificial laws established about 1 year after Mt. Sinai, are done away with. These administrative adjustments were necessary at this point but the Law of God is still in place as Jesus did not come to destroy the Law but to fill it to its brim - which included the Spiritual aspects of the Law since the Law is Spiritual (Romans 7:14).
