The causes of the civil war in Russia was when the Kaiserwho was the ruler of Germany at the time encouraged the Bolshevieks wanted to overthrow the current government at the time, and protected Lenin who was currently in exile, as he went back to help the revolution in Russia that was eventually to lead to Pro-Bolsheviek forces fighting the Government loyalists who did not want to Government to fall. The Effects of this were that 1) Russia Withdrew from the war with Germany because the Russian Army refused to fight, and also, once the Civil War was over Russia turned on Germany and Once again fought against Germany.
