Germany invaded the Netherlands in May 1940 and occupied that country till 1945. Today, Germany is a sovereign country like the Dutch.
Quite Dutch.
I don't really get your question but you have North Holland and South Holland (Noord Holland & Zuid holland) Both are provinces of the Netherlands. The Netherlands are often named Holland, also by the Dutch but this is just the same like England to Great Brittain. New Zealand is named after the Dutch province, Zeeland.
briefly said, holland is just a part in the netherlands, something like two provinces in the whole twelve ones in the netherlands (Nederland). btw, Dutch refers to the language and the people. do you speak dutch ? yes I do; i'm dutch :)
The children were becoming more Dutch than English and the Dutch weren't as strict about what to do and not to do on Sunday's as the Sepratists.
Before World War II, Holland was a fairly wealthy nation with a large middle class. There were still many farms and mills in operation.
Yes, a small lop, like a Holland. This will make a lionlop. You can't show these animals, but they are ADORABLE!
Welcome has almost same spell in Dutch. It is Welkom. But you just need to accent "k" bit more, you can read "kom" like coma's "com" without saying a.
The Netherlands is, contrary to popular belief, not another name for Holland. Holland is in fact a region within the Netherlands but not even literally. You have northern Holland and southern Holland. Whilst the term is commonly used to refer to the whole country, this is incorrect and should be avoided.
NO, those are two different countries! Citizens of Denmark are Danish and citizens of the Netherlands/Holland are Dutch! Its like USA and Canada (though the Dutch language and the Danish are different)
IN the 1930's and the 1940's they viewed Cromwell as a cruel military dictator.
You get doubled up with people from Holland. And you play people from different countries and strive to win the gold jump rope. Kinda like the Olympics but more exciting.
