If you have never seen the last instalment or read the book (and want to), please stop reading right now, as it will spoil the whole thing for you.
In part one, Harry, Hermione and Ron are searching for Horcruxes, to help kill Lord Voldemort. The horcruxes are part of Voldemort's soul, but concealed in an object that is significant to him. Before they leave the safety of the Burrow, the Minister of Magic gives the three teens items, from Dumbledore's will (see the 6th movie/book). Ron is given a deluminator, Hermione a book (Tales of Beedle the Bard), and Harry a Golden Snitch.
The three teenagers depart from the Burrow and got to many places, 12 Grimmauld Place (see the the 5th movie/book), and many forests and cliffs. In Grimmauld place the three find out one of the horcruxes is at the Ministry of Magic, and in possesion of one of the ex-teachers at Hogwarts, Dolores Umbridge. After breaking into the Ministry using PolyJuice potion and a alot of planning, they mange to retrieve the horcrux.
They take in turns wearing the horcrux (which, evidently is a locket), as of its dangerous, dark magic, it made them very angry or frustrated. Ron wears the horcrux for too long, and becomes rather mad at the relationship between Hermione and Harry. After a loud argument between Ron and Harry, Ron leaves. Hermione grows distraught of the unexpected leave made by Ron, and grows silent for a few days. Harry still needs to find more horcruxes, and dances with Hermione to make her feel better. They decide to look in Godric's Hollow, the place where Harry's parents died. The grounds end up being a trap, as Voldemort's snake, Nagini was disguised as Bathilda Bagshot (who used to be a family friend, but was killed by Voldemort months before) and told to kill Harry and any conpanions. They escape, but Harry's wand is broken. He uses Hermione's, while taking in turns with night watches. A few nights later, when Harry is on his nightwatch, he spots a transperent doe. It appears to be a Patronus (watch 3rd movie/read book). Harry follows the doe. The doe takes him to a lake, with a sword laying at the bottom (watch 2nd and 6th movie). Harry strips off, and plunges into the icy waters. The horcrux (by the way is around his neck), starts choking him as he starts hoisting the sword to the surface. Harry is seconds from drowning when someone pulls him up. It's Ron. Ron saves Harry's life. The sword is looked apon. Harry realises the sword could kill the horcrux. Harry gives Ron the sword, who trys to smash the horcrux with. A giant cloud billows out of it. And two people take form. Harry and Hermione. They start kissing, and taunting Ron. Ron kills the horcrux.
