What were the first quasars called?

Initially Quasars where thought to be stars because they we so bright, they also thought they were a lot closer because of their brightness. In the early 1960 Allan Sandage noticed that the "Star" did not act normally and the red shift showed it to be billions of light years away and moving away from us. The First identified "Quasar" was called 3C 273.

Quasars are believed to be collided Galaxies that form a Super Black Hole that sucks all the mass towards it making it Very bright and giving all spectrum's of radiation off.
