Some of the medieval furniture was quite beautiful, and examples can be seen in churches, especially the stalls where people sat in the choirs of cathedrals. Wealthy people had furniture of similar quality. It was not very comfortable, however. They did not use dressers with drawers much, and were more likely to use trunks instead. Wealthy people had large beds with canopies. But there were nothing analogous to easy chairs, of course. They used a lot of cushions for comfort, instead of having a shape built into the chair.
A lot of the furniture was simply clunky, and common furniture, such as serfs might use, was of this type. It was rudely built and also not comfortable. Serfs would have had very little of it, and only those pieces they really needed, as they usually had little money to buy things.
The furniture in the medieval times was not of very good quality to the things we have today, but also poeple back then had very little amounts of furniture and if they did have furniture i was keep in very good condition. peple in the medieval times would have maybe a low bench because of the smoke from the cooking, a couple of chairs kitchen iteams such as plates made from wood and a couple of pans made from think iron and a bed stuffed with straw.
Not much. A bed with hangings, a chair, a bench, a chest or two to store things, a table and usually a tapestry hanging on the walls. Most things were made of wood with carving ( at least the ones I have seen in museums) on them. A few rugs and threshes on the floors. Compared to the "common folk" this was a lot.
