Yes, religious Jews think about God and follow His teachings and instructions.
They are called the Torah.
Some Jews are Christians but most are not. It is because Christians believe that Jesus is the son of God, the Messiah, who died as the lamb of God, a sacrifice for all who believe. Jews do not believe this.
Jews follow the ten commandments in order to serve God. Doing what is right is the goal, not personal happiness.

People of all races are sinful in nature and naturally do rebel against God. It makes no difference if they are God's chosen people or not. God did not choose them because they were perfect or particularly obedient. Not all Jews are unfaithful to God, however, just as not all non-Jews follow God.
