God is serious about His glory. God is perfect and holy, and cannot have fellowship with anything that is not perfect and holy!! Man started out perfect in the Garden of Eden, but that did not last long, because Adam and Eve fell into sin by disobeying God's command to not eat of the tree in the Garden!! Since that time, ALL have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. When someone sins, and we all sin, then we are not allowed to have fellowship with God. In fact, The Bible says we have earned "death" when we sin! "The wages of sin is death" BUT, God has a plan for mankind that brings God great glory! God wanted to fellowship with man, but could not have that fellowship because man had sinned. The only way for God to forgive sin, was to pay the required "wages of sin". Someone had to die. For "without the shedding of blood, there is no remission for sin." Jesus came to the earth in the form of man to die for man. He shed his blood on the cross for my sins, and for your sins. IF you believe that Jesus died for your sins, and confess your sins to God asking for His forgiveness, THEN He will forgive you of your sins and you will be cleansed from ALL of your unrighteousness!!!! :)
