SOme of the Pros and Cons of Canadian Confederation are : Canada would be United as one Country and would be given the name Canada. Not everyone agreed with the British North American act. Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland both did not want any part of it and did not join until 1871 and 1949. The french speaking population was also divided but they were divided after Confederation. I hope this helps :0)

Pros- America is less likely to be able to take over all of the colonies together in confederation, than they would be to take over one colony alone. Also, the people who organized confederation would pay for your debt. There would also be a railway connecting all of the colonies of Confederation together, so that they could easily go to and from the colonies, instead of walking. The system of government is also very good to, and there are some responsible leaders. Cons- If you joined Confederation, you lose your identity as a lone colony, and you can't make AS MANY of your own decisions. You can still make some decisions though.
