Yes. The goals were: 1) to stop Germany from taking over the world and to stop them from destroying our shipping. 2) to stop Japan from taking over all of the islands of the Pacific.

Germany had tried once before and so it had to be not just stopped, but dismantled so that future German leaders would not try again. Japan was occupied for several years following WW2 to prevent the Emperor from building another military to take over the Pacific.

Since both Germany and Japan were defeated and prevented from their attempts to take over other nations, the Allied efforts were a success.

AnswerI do not think it had any goals in mind but lets see what it did attaina. part of the virgin islands because of the lend lease actb. destroyed the threat of japan in the pacific which it had had since the 1890c. defeated the nazi threatd. it showed off its power with the use of atomic bomb so as to use it in further forieng policy negotiations.e. it got us off the ground and help end the depression in 1945f. it helped create the gi bill which stimulated economic growth and both housing and education

The Allies won WW2, and the US was one of the Allies.

I'll add to it....

Out of all of the major players of the war, the U.S. gained the most in the outcome. For example, the world financial system under Bretton Woods was thus pegged to the U.S. Dollar onwards. The U.S. was at the time the world's creditor. Secondly, the British Empire was disbanded, thus overseas markets opened up to American trade and investment. Thirdly, the U.S. held a monopoly on atomic and nuclear weapons.

Tactically, the U.S. is generally accredited for winning the war against Japan, albeit minor help from the Australians.

Simply put, the U.S. and the U.S.S.R. to an extent emerged as the two world's superpowers after World War Two ended.

Just to add out of respect:

Lets give a shout out to the british and the thousands that died for them too. They held off the Germans longest and without them the outcome probably would have been Nazi victory.

Overall The Nazi defeat was an American, Russian and British victory. Only together could WE win.

God Bless America.

God Save The Queen.

The United States was deeply involved in World War Two.

In fact, the United States lost over 700,000 soldiers in that war.

Actually, US casualties were around 405,000, NOT 700,000.
