Eros, the primordial deity, either emerged at creation without mother or father, was the child of Chaos (Gap) alone, or Nyx (Night) alone, or Nyx and Erebos (Darkness).

Eros, as the son of Aphrodite was said to have emerged with Aphrodite already pregnant with Eros alone - or he was born later by Ares and Aphrodite.

Or Ouranus and Aphrodite, or Ouranus and Gaia,

Or Zephyrus and Iris.

Or Eileithyia, goddess of child birth was said to be his mother.

Rarely, it is Poros (Expedience) and Penia (Poverty).
