First define the Second Persian War. The Persian War ran 499-449 BCE - it had several phases - Ionian Revolt, Persian punitive expedition against Eretria and Athens, Persian invasion of mainland Greece, Greek counter-offensive. Which among this is supposed to be 'Second Persian War'?
Greece. There were two Persian Wars. The First Persian War in 490 BC had only one major battle (Marathon). The Second Persian War in 480-479 BC had three major battles (Thermopylae, Salamis, Plataea). Salamis was a sea battle. The sites can be found on a map of ancient Greece, and possibly even on a map of modern Greece.
They won lots of battles and lost lots of battles over two and a half thousand years.
Under Xerxes I's command, two major battles were the Battle of Thermopylae and the Battle of Salamis. The Battle of Thermopylae in 480 BCE saw a small Greek force, led by King Leonidas of Sparta, make a valiant stand against Xerxes' vastly larger army. Following this, the naval Battle of Salamis, also in 480 BCE, resulted in a decisive Greek victory, where the Greek fleet, under Athenian general Themistocles, outmaneuvered and defeated the Persian navy. These battles were pivotal in the Greco-Persian Wars, ultimately leading to the decline of Persian ambitions in Greece.

There were two battles in this general vicinity. The first and second Battles of Bull Run. Northerners usually named battles after the closest body of water, river or creek. Southerners tended to name battles after the nearest town. In the South, these two battles are referred to as First and Second Manassas.

There were several major battles in Northern Europe in World War II. Two of them were the Invasion of Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge.
The second Persian leader who tried to conquer Greece, alongside Darius I, was his son Xerxes I. Xerxes is best known for his invasion of Greece in 480 BC, which included the famous battles of Thermopylae and Salamis. Both leaders aimed to expand the Persian Empire and subdue the Greek city-states, but ultimately faced significant resistance from the Greeks.

There was many major battles in the Pacific and European Theaters. The two major battles for both was the invasion of Europe was Operation Overlord (D-Day as many call it) and the Battle of Midway. Where the Americans turned the tide in both theaters in these battles.
The Spartans did not 'follow' the Persians - they were part of a blocking force which delayed the Persian army for three days, and had no effect on the following two-year campaign which defeated the Persians at the battles of Salamis, Plataia and Mycale.
