There isn't one specific person who cause the US Civil War. There are three reasons it began:1) State's rights - The south felt like they weren't treated equally.2) sectionalism - Favoring one section or state rather than the whole country.3) slavery - The south needed slaves for farming, the north was mostly industry so they didn't need slaves. Most of the northerners (and some southerners) didn't think slavery was right. That is what lead to the the Civil War.
During the American Civil War, the disadvantages of the Emancipation Proclamation of January 1863 were various. As just one example, it galvanized the passions of many Southerners, inspiring them to sacrifice even more greatly in the fight to preserve their way of life. As another example, it aroused the protest and even, in cases, the wrath of Northerners whose prejudice or focus (or both) led them to disparage the plight of the slaves. As yet another, it caused political criticism from some of Lincoln's fellow Northerners (some of whom were themselves in favor of emancipation) on the basis of such a proclamation being without any constitutional grounding.
Some believed in expansionism and Manifest Destiny. Some wanted to expand slavery.
Some northerners believed slavery was morally wrong. Southerners believed slavery was an essential part of their lives.
The main opposition came from Copperheads, who were Southern sympathizers. Irish Catholics opposed the war due to the draft.
Their was no money
NovaNet- Some northerners viewed Brown as a martyr, while southerners prepared for war.

Some southerners from the US call people from the north Northerners while there are some that call them Yankees. Others simply call them by their first name.
Briefly put, most Southerners wanted to continue the right to own slaves and most Northerners did not like the practice and did not want to see it extended to new states that came into the union. A fairly large number of Northerners were strongly against slavery and wanted to abolish it throughout the country as soon as possible. Some Southerners had objections to slavery but respected the right of others to keep their slaves.
Both colonies had an Aliance towards Mother England, had some sort of Slavery, and ... (still need more)

they wold allow slaves
Because the confederacy believed in slavery and the union did not. We northerners or we southerners did not like that we wanted are way only. So if this helps your welcome. Oh and the union won + Abe Lincoln was president during that time period.
Northerners opposed the Fugitive Slave Act because it required them to cooperate in the capture and return of runaway slaves, even if they were located in free states. Many Northerners viewed the act as a violation of states' rights and as a way to enforce slavery in territories where it was not supported. Additionally, some Northerners opposed the act on moral grounds, believing that it was unjust to send free individuals back into slavery.
