The Plains Indian homes were called tipis or teepees. They were constructed of hides, primarily buffalo. The hides would be sewn together and wrapped around tall lodgepoles grouped together. Some tribes sewed liners into their teepee walls and others put in flooring.

First of all, it is Yup'ik Eskimo not Yup'ik Indian. They first made their houses out of sod, wooden beams, and stones. Today they make their houses like the rest of Americans.
Actually I don't get it . Houses all over the world are made with same things - cement , bricks , etc. Sometimes wood is used too.
