The word lost is confusing. Did it get out of it's cage outside your house or did it get lost at some other location? Depending on how tame the bird is depends on getting the bird back. If it is not well trained, it may stay away from people, such as perching in a tree. If it is very used to people it may come down to bushes around the house. If it can fly it may stay close to people around where it was lost and be taken by someone. Maybe even they would put an ad in the paper. Other animals, cats, dogs and etc. can be very dangerous to the parrot. Unless you put an ad around where you lost it, it is not likely you will get it back.
