There must be some disadvantages, but I can't think of any.
Manatees are beautiful mammals that people will visit Florida just to see, also some people in other parts of the world use their meat in cooking, also manatees are gentle, loving creatures that love being around humans. Once a manatee named howie tipped over a research canoe and watched all of the researchers and their stuff float on the water while the researchers got the canoe flipped over again. Here's a question to ask yourself... Why do the polar bears need to be saved? Are you kidding me if polar bears went extinct the food chain would get all messed up and more animals would become extinct. For example, sea lions, walrus. You are right about the manatee though.
The top three reasons are because of there habitat being trespassed, also because of pollution in there living space, and lastly because of hunting and people killing them. Hopes this helps! Do your homework kid! xD

well the plants and organisms that the manatee eats will eventually over populate.
The grass and Algea population will increase. & the great white shark population will decrease.

No, the population of manatees in Florida is believed to be between 1,000 and 3,000.
You can help manatees by looking athttp:www.savethemanatee.org/whatyou.htm, which lists ways you could help. And tell other people about manatees, try not to ride boats with pointy motors, because they are becoming extinct!
Florida manatees almost became extinct or died out completely
Manatees are protected even though they shouldn't. Manatees are NOT native to Florida so they were just asking to die. Plus after they get hit by a boat they should learn not to ever go up to boats again. Also, it cost 18 million dollars to protect the manatee, that's 18 million we could use to make a new hospital or school. Lastly, Manatees are floating speedbumps who cause 500 dollar fines and 60 days in jail. That's why manatees stink and shouldn't be protected.
manatees, blue whales, and the humpback whales. they are all pretty close
They are not extinct.
