What will happen if animal cruelty continues?

People who abuse animals should be strung up and get a dose of their own medicine, but in the real world all we can do is report them immediately and hope that law enforcement can deal with these individuals, REPORT THEM AS SOON AS YOU KNOW OF THIS! It is an ongoing rotten problem!!!!

· If whales become extinct, the balance of the ecosystem will be destroyed, possibly irreparably. Why? Whales' main food source is krill. The krill eat the producer of 50-90% of the world's oxygen: plankton. If there were no whales left, krill numbers would soar. This would mean that there would be nothing to stop them eating all the plankton. This would greatly affect the oxygen levels in the atmosphere.

· The plankton also greatly reduces CO2 levels in the air as the ocean absorbs the gas, before it is removed from the water and stored in the plant. This means that if the plankton were all consumed by the krill, there would be less absorption of Carbon Dioxide from the atmosphere.

· The rise in CO2 coupled with the decrease in oxygen would have a disastrous effect on the planet. It would rapidly increase the effects of global warming irreparably.

The food chain would be unbalanced, causing an overpopulation of what whales eat in the environment. ( no whales left)
