What happens when water vapour cools down below 100 degrees?

melts

What is the property called when water heats and cools slowly?

impurity- increases boiling point, lowers freezing point. breaks the constant rate

How does the thermal property of water differ from other liquids like alcohol when the liquids are cooled from 4 degree to 0 degree?

Water is the only substance that expands as it cools. As water cools from 40C to 00C (the freezing point of water), water becomes a solid, and expands in its volume. The freezing point of alcohol is lower than water, so by simple observation, no change will appear. If you had accurate enough measuring equipment, you would see that the alcohol is taking up less volume.

Is 0 degrees Celsius a freezing point if the water has a melting point?

Below 0 degrees Celsius

How does evaporation cause cooling effect?

Evaporation is the conversion of water to vapour at a temperature below boiling point. Water has a 'Vapour Pressure' at any temperature below 100°C at atmospheric pressure. (At the boiling point, water is NOT evaporating, it's Vaporising. Evaporation takes place below the boiling temperature). The molecules leaving the water as vapour are moved away by any movement of air above the water and therefore cannot return to the water. The Energy required to evaporate the water is called 'Latent Heat' and takes place by removing the necessary heat from the water as 'Sensible Heat' thereby decreasing the water temperature. This principle is also used by the body on a warm day. The body gets hot, it sweats, the sweat evaporates off the skin and the body cools down.

Describe what happens when water vapor rises and cools to the dew point?

As water vapor cools to the dew point it converts from a gas back to a liquid.

What happen to water vapor when warm air cools?

It condenses

Do clouds form when water vapor in the atmosphere cools to its dew point?

A dew point is the amount of moisture in the air so as the air cools water condenses and form clouds.

What happen to the molecules of water vapor when the temperatures of the gas. Cools to 100 c?

the proess of water vapor becoming liqud water when it cools is called condensation.

What happens to the boiling point of water when alcohol is added to it?

it cools it

Happen when the gas cools to form water drops?

it's condensation

How does molten lava change into a solid?

It cools down and essentially freezes as the temperature drops below the meltng point.

What happen to the molecules of water vapor when the temperature of the gas cools?

the water vapor turns to liquid

Clouds form when water vapor in the atmosphere cools to?

Its Dew Point

How does supercooling water work?

get really super clean water like Fiji or w\e its called and put it in a freezer to the point where it is below freezing and then when you take it out shake it and it will then freeze supercooling happens because water is to the point below freezing but the ice crystals havent formed so when u shake it then they forming it into ice

When a liquid cools to be a solid?

It is called the freezing point or crystallization point. In water it is 0 degrees Celsius

What clouds form when water vapor in atmosphere cools to its dew point and?

condenses
