If you automatically go to the next pack instead of taking your placebo pills, you will avoid getting your period, which is a very common practice. Just remember - if your doctor wrote for 1 pack/month, you may "refill too soon" next month if you are skipping that last week, and your insurance might not pay for your pills.

If you are taking the pill Yasmin and continuously take the pill after ur last pack is done, you will not get your period until the next time you finish this pack. It's a way to skip your period if you don't want it at that time.

you will miss your period that's all.

You will totally muck up your hormones..if its designed for a 7 day break then you can't just continue onto the next pack, especially if you've been taking the break and then suddenly skip it your body will still do what it's suppose to only you may end up with a very light period for 2 to 3 weeks instead of 4-5 days. I tried this, it was stupid and that's what ended up happening and now I have to go through getting it back on track again.

You increase your risk of pregnancy, unless you use a back up method for the first seven days of the pack following the 14 day break.

Start taking the pills today. Use a backup method for the first seven days. If you've had unprotected sex in the last five days, consider taking emergency contraception.

What is placebo?

It is the sugar pill that comes with birth control. It's the time in which you're not taking the hormones that the birth control gives you. They're only there to keep you in the routine of taking a pill every day, and have no effect. It is the sugar pill that comes with birth control.
