To begin with, the Sending will now be released as two books. The first (the Sending) will be released in September 2011, and the following (the Red Queen) about a year later.
In the next two books, you can expect Elspeth to travel to the Red Queen's Land. The relationship between Elspeth and Rushton will deepen, before Elspeth must leave for her quest. Remember, she actually has two quests: the first being to destroy the weaponmachines of the beforetimers, and the second being to lead the animals to freedom.
