It was announced on June 3, 2010 that a second Wizards of Waverly Place film would be produced; no further details have been announced.The film's working title is Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie 2. Development has been announced on June 2nd, 2010 by Disney. It is not known if the movie has started pre production. This has also been confirmed by an interview with Selena Gomez who plays Alex in the show. So far, no plot details have been announced. Dan Berendsen will return as script writer for this movie

A few of the details have been revealed. Alex, Justin, Max, Mason and Harper get caught in a different unverise and the only way out is if they give up their wizard powers. During the adventure, the three wizard siblings discover a sercet about Harper.
