for me it got cracked
When water freezes, it expands and the volume increases by almost 10%. Therefore, the bottle would deform or rupture depending on the strength of the materials.
Water kept in freezer looses heat and turns into solid as soon it reaches below its melting point.
it will be happy
Water expands when it freezes due to molecular geometry and the fact that it is a very polar molecule. The water molecule is shaped like an upside-down "v". Due to this shape, when water freezes it make a hexagonal shape such that the slightly negatively charge oxygen atoms are aligned with the slightly positively charge hydrogen atoms -- this is the most stable configuration. (Molecules that are less polar do not configure themselves in this way because there is less of a reduction in energy if the molecule is not as polar.) This orientation leaves space in the middle of the frozen water molecules. That is why water expands when it freezes.
in a freezer.
Any freezer needs to be kept closed as much as possible if you wish for it to remain cold. However a chest freezer will not warm up as fast as an upright freezer. This is because the cold air in the freezer is heavier than the air outside of the freezer. When you open an upright freezer the cold air "falls" out, this can't happen with a chest freezer.

About 1-2 months in the freezer
