When warm water mixes with cold water, the overall temperature will slightly decrease as the warm water transfers some of its heat energy to the cold water until they reach a thermal equilibrium. This process is known as thermal equilibration.
When waters of different temperatures mix together, they tend to retain their temperatures. But the temperature of the two different temperatured waters combine to form a slightly warm water (only if the volume of both the waters is same). Overtime their temperatures become in proportion to the surroundings
When sugar is put into cold water and stirred, it will dissolve. The sugar molecules will disperse and mix evenly with the water molecules to form a sugar solution.
When hot and cold water mix, it is called thermal equilibrium. This is the point at which the two temperatures equalize and reach a uniform temperature throughout the mixture. This process is governed by the laws of thermodynamics, specifically the second law which states that heat will naturally flow from a higher temperature to a lower temperature until equilibrium is reached.
The heat allows the particles to move more freely in the water and therefore diffuse faster. When the water is colder the particles move more slowly and therefore the rate is slower. I hope this helps, I'm practicing this concept as well.
Yes, hot and cold water can mix with food coloring when hot water rises to the top if there is sufficient turbulence or agitation to mix the colors together. The movement and flow of water can help distribute the food coloring throughout the container, allowing for mixing between different temperature layers.
the warm water floats
you get warm water.
because they have different densities
Not a lot, water and oil don't mix and so the oil will float on top of the water.

No. The temperature variation will kill one or the other. (Too warm for cold water fish, too cold for tropical fish)
it becomes a mixture of a warm and cold water :)))
Warm Water! when molecules inside of an object heat up, the molecules go faster! which will absorbe the food coloring faster.
the type of material you can use to make the temperature of water is to, use boiling water or cold water and if you mix them together you can get warm water, and if you use hot water you'll have hot steamy water and for cold water you'll have an ice cold water.

where did this science fair project come from?
Not normally before a warm front, precipitation comes before and after a cold front. When you have warm air and a cold front comes through, you mix warm with cold and that brings precipitation.
