This question is relevant in the situation that the world is going to an end. It may be by a natural disaster or a nuclear war. Then we have to find someother planet like earth to live. And if the scientists cant find a planet like earth, they might consider to research on how to survive on such chaotic conditions.

All other planets are too far or too close to the sun. i have to change my answer (the one above) there is a planet similar to earth but it has not got life on it. it is similar in its chemical make up not on if it has life on it It's called Gliese. ARE you sure this planet doesn't have life? And if anyone asks, is it possible to get there, you can't............. yet.........
