You are left with choosing between faith and knowledge. Faith in something is not necessarily a bad idea and if it makes you feel happier or more comfortable in life there is no reason not to go with it. The science based thinkers like to think of them selves as right because they put their Faith in scientific evidence, which as history shows us is also being constantly revised because what was scientifically proven yesterday is subject to revision. The truth is you don't have to follow, just put your faith in what you think feels right.

Of course many would suggest that the facts of science do not actually contradict the facts of the Christian faith as presented in The Bible. It is merely people's interpretation of the facts under a naturalistic, anti-Biblical paradigm which brings anti-biblical results. Thus, contrary to the popular anti-Christian agenda, many of the world's great scientists of the past, (including many post-Darwin) believed, and still believe in the God of the Bible. The facts actually don't 'speak for themselves' but are always interpreted. There is thus no need for anyone to feel the need to do any harmonization between science and the Bible. The Bible and true science are always in perfect harmony.

There are events in the Bible that I considered now as against Science like, the Creation, Noah's deluge and Tower of Babel, but I still remain a Christian. If some of my belief contradicts with Science, then that part of what I believe must give way to Science.

What many people do is they fail to apply the same critical eye to the alleged 'facts of science' as they do to the Bible. The alleged 'facts of science' have whole libraries filed of books with outdated scientific 'facts' which have now been disproven. Similarly, many Bible statements which were thought not to be true have since been verified. One major one is the Hittites which were once said not to exist and now we have whole museums of their material.

So science does have a good record of being proven wrong. This is also part of how scientific knowledge progresses, but it also shows that much scientific knowledge is 'provisional' as it may change as our knowledge deepens.

What people do, however, is to 'deify' science and effectively make it a 'god' in which science is infallible and the Bible is fallible, whereas it should be the other way around, especially given the track record of both. The fact that people find it necessary to misquote the Bible and to laugh at something they don't understand indicates they are not approaching the Bible from a 'level playing field' but are biased against it. They also fail to recognize the biases of those from whom they get much of their anti-Bible material and to fairly consider the valid s there are to the questions raised.

Thus, as a Christian, there is nothing raised by science which is a problem. The alleged 'facts of science' do not speak for themselves and they often come with a naturalistic, anti-God philosophy. Many Christians are today engaged in scientific endeavor both in research and in industry. So, true science and the Christian faith are not incompatible.
