the purple wire
fuel sensor in the gas tank is bad or the wires to it are loose or broken.
The fuel tank pressure sensor is for the EVAP system. It has nothing to do with the fuel gauge sending unit.
if you are refering to the sensor for the fuel gauge, it is in the fuel tank with the fuel pump.
have an experience mechanic test you fuel pump fuel level sensor, which is part of the fuel pump, ground the wires and if the gauge pecks gauge is good. if it don't you have to replace your cluster which is a seal item and must be replaced as a unit. do not try this yourself.
In the fuel tank.
The most common reason for the fuel gauge in an Impala to stop at half full is a bad fuel sensor. The sensor is mounted inside of the fuel tank.
The fuel gauge sensor on a 2003 Jeep Liberty Sport is located in the fuel tank, as part of the fuel pump assembly. To access it, you'll typically need to remove the rear seat and the access panel or drop the fuel tank itself. The sensor monitors the fuel level and sends this information to the gauge on the dashboard. If you experience issues with the fuel gauge, it's often related to this sensor or the wiring connected to it.
The fuel gauge sensor is located in the fuel tank. The fuel gauge sensor and fuel pump are one assembly. To my knowledge they are sold as one unit and is fairly expensive. The fuel tank must be dropped to R&R the assembly.
The fuel gauge could be getting improper signals from the fuel sensor. The sensor is located inside of the fuel tank.
The fuel level sensor is on the fuel pump, in the fuel tank.
The fuel gauge on a Volvo S60 rises and falls based on the fuel level detected by the vehicle's fuel level sensor, which is typically located in the fuel tank. As fuel is consumed, the sensor detects the decrease in fuel and sends a signal to the gauge, causing it to drop. Conversely, when fuel is added, the sensor registers the increase, prompting the gauge to rise. Additionally, fluctuations in the vehicle's movement or fuel sloshing can cause temporary variations in the gauge reading.
there are 2 wires on the replacement fuel sender for my Kubota RTV. where do I hook the 2 wires?
