Zeus is more powerful than hades. Zeus is the supreme ruler of the Gods in a fight Hades would get ripped to pieces ---- They are brothers, Hades is older than Zeus. As far as 'strength and power' goes, I see them as equals.
Since Hades rules the Underworld, and is the God of the dead.. I would assume there would be a lot of lost misplaced souls if it were not for Hades.
