Mekkah (located in Saudi Arabia) is a holy city of Islam. In the Islam faith, there are 5 pillars, much like the 10 commandments of Christianity. One of these pillars is to make a pilgrimage to Mekkah. There is a Mosque in Mekkah that Muslims journey to. It is also the place that they are to pray to.
This has many purposes, 1. For worship 2. It will change them into better Muslims 3. To be closer to Allah
