Chage the unreliable engine
Robert Fulton was born on November 14, 1765 and died on February 24, 1815. Robert Fulton would have been 49 years old at the time of death or 249 years old today.
Robert Fulton, the American engineer and inventor known for developing the steamboat, had four children: three daughters and one son. His son, Robert Fulton Jr., was born in 1800, while his daughters, Elizabeth, Mary, and Jane, were born in the early 1800s. However, since Fulton lived in the late 18th and early 19th centuries and passed away in 1815, his children would no longer be alive today. Therefore, their ages cannot be determined in the present context.
I'm assuming you're talking about Robert Fulton, who did not actually invent, but played a key role in the invention of the steamboat. In 1804 he also tested the first successful submarine that he had built for the British navy.
With the invention of the steamboat, boats could go four times faster than the traditional boat of that time period, and the U.S. could also start using schedules for boating routes, because boats no longer relied on wind for their source of power.
because he had too much steam left over and he thougth 'hey why dont i do something with all of this steam i have' and so he went to the bank and they would not take it so he went to the river and tied it to a log and walla there was a steam boat and he was happi trust me this is 100% accurate i went to collage
Made of steel and some glass, the very powerful steam would help move the boat approxiamtely 5 miles per hour. This allowed the boat to move against the wind
"The American dream of rags to riches is a dream for a reason - it is hard to achieve; were everyone to do it, it wouldn't be a dream but would rather be reality."
The steamboat as used for water travel. It would transport people and goods from one place to another . They would run on rivers and lakes.
Of course that devil had slaves. It was 1807. The white man invented NOTHING during that time. The African slaves were the brains behind all inventions during slavery. History would have you believe that all slaves were dumb and uneducated but this is NOT true. Many slavemasters had books laying around and slaves would sneak those books into their homes and read. Their were always at least one very educated slave who taught the rest of the slaves secretly. In addition, very few slavemasters were tolerable and allowed their slaves to give their masters ideas of inventions. The slavemaster would then steal the idea of his slave and make it his.
After Robert Fulton's success with his steamboat the Clermont, wich took people from NYC to Albany in 62 hours wich was a record time, people began using steamboats for carrying heavy loads and goods besides carrying people. Then, Henry Shreve invented the flat bottomed steambooat because western rivers were very shallow. The flatboat could carry heavy loads without getting stuck on sandbars. Although this was a breakthrough, they were still very dangerous. Sometimes captains of the boats would race each other on the rivers. Sparks from the smokestacks could cause fires, boilers exploded, and other accidents. Between about 1811-'51, 44 steamboats collided, 166 burned, and more than 200 exploded. Robert Fulton did indeed improve the steam boat other that what had already been there. He was able to create a more reliable, and safer steamboat versus the older models. There were many hardships along the way, but the Clermont was a successful steamboat that spurred his invention.
A submarine. When Fulton first told Napoleon about his idea of an under water boat, Napoleon told him: "What, sir, would make a ship sail against the wind and currents by lighting a bonfire under her deck I pray you excuse me. I have no time to listen to such nonsense."
There are Fulton counties in Ohio, Georgia, NY and Indiana, at least, so it would be helpful to know the state you're searching for.
