I've noticed better MPG. Look for an air intake with a heat shield, for best results.

The EPC on a Jetta is the electronic powertrain control system. This is the traction system of the vehicle that detects if you are on ice or water covered roadways.
A knock sensor sends a voltage signal to regulate ignition timing. In a Jetta, it is typically located under the air intake manifold.
They are located usual;ly on the intake manifold somewhere. If you own a 1.8T model, it is on the intake manifold near the Throttle Body.

On back side of motor under the intake manifold
The MAF ( Mass Air flow) sensor is located right on the intake pipe. Can't miss it.
