People who use divination usually don't tell people an exact future, as the future is mutable and not set in stone.
Speak falsely of themselves or what they see (some do, authentic's usually don't)
Don't raise the dead (this falls into necromancy)

A Diviner will- tell you what they see with honesty and truth
Let you know if something is arye or out of balance
If something needs your specific attention
Will (on occasion depending on the person) use spirit guides to help them obtain information.
Can use Astral Projection to help retrieve information
