If you do not follow this golden rule, college will not be enjoyable and probably not completed, leaving you with student loan debt and no degree to help pay for it. Classes may be taken in any foreign language on most major universities, some may even be a major. I know you can be an English major at most universities (which will focus on literature as well as language) but French will be an elective at most. Luckily you have two years to find an interest and pick a major at most universities.
The best place to do this would be at your local community college. They should have French classes all year round and you can take it online if that is what you want to do.
