If radio goes off when door is opened - normal condition vehicle designed to operate this way Also electric windows will operate after key removed before door is opened
That's just how the car is. My old 2005 GMC Sierra would do the same thing. I would turn the key off, and the radio would stay on, you just have to open the door to turn everything off, correct?
the alarm system for the radio is draining the batteries remove the radio fuse when you parl
It should turn off when you open the door, its a feature so that you can listen to the radio with the vehicle ignition off. If it is not shutting off at all there may be a problem with the door switches in which case you would have the same problem with the interior lights. Lastly if an aftermarket radio was installed then they may have wired it so that it would work that way.

Try pressing the "override button" to the left of the steering wheel, you may have hit it by accident. This will turn the radio off when the key is turned off and the interior lights won't come on.

Either the chip in your key is worn or the contacts in the key cylinder are bad.
The radio is connected via serial cable to vital electronic systems. You can purchase an extension cable to put the radio in the trunk or under a seat, it has to stay in the car, even if you want to put in an aftermarket deck.
