Sounds like a failed starter.
Running Battle happened in 1991.
check ur starter the internal metal brushed might be swelling up and stoping it from starting i had that happen on my old ford when oil driped in to the starter and when i would stop after the car was warm it would cut off and wouldn't start until the starter cooled when i replaced it, it never happened again.
Could be a faulty ground wire. Not very rare to happen
Textiles became more plentiful and less expensive. This first happened in England.
If the starter just spins and does not engage then you have low battery or a stuck 'bendix' on the starter. -Running hot is a separate problem that may happen for any number of easons.
it may be the starter going out doing it . it will kill the alternator if it keeps going . I know i had it happen to my 96 olds replaced the alt still didnt start and the starter fixed it
There are two SMALL wires on the starter. They are connected wrong.
I had the same thing happen to my ford 351. I had to tap on the solienoid to get the starter to stop turning over. On this particular truck the solenoid is mounted under the hood.On alot of chevys the solenoid is mounted on the starter itself.
Happened is the past tense of happen.
When my Celebrity's starter was going out (1987, 2.5L) this would happen to me. Dropped in a brand new starter and solenoid and never happened again. Likely a short inside the solenoid I suppose.
It might happen because of a faulty starter gasket. :)
