If it isn't slipping it is downshifting to 3rd gear
4l80e
That would be a 4L80E Transmission.
No it did not. The 4L80E transmissions were only used in the 3/4 tons. The 1/2 tons had the 4L60E trans. in them.
NO... You must put a 4L80E lock up converter back in it. If you don't you will have all kinds of trouble.
If it is an automatic then it is a 4L80E.
Which engine is it? Which trans is it? Is this your trans or my trans? What were exact symptoms?? DNO.
i also have a 96 slx . my trans. is bad to, so if u get yours fixed tell me how u did it. my e-mail is jonb4139@comcast.net
That would be the 4L80E / 4L85E transmission if it is a automatic.
If it's a 1/2 ton 4L60E Trans. ............... 3/4 ton 4L80E Trans.
It could be that the torque convertor is locked and not slipping which it should do as the normal operation
Your transmission is slipping, due to either your trans. is bad or your low on fluid and there maybe a leak.
Nope, the 94 would be a half circle bell housing and the 97 would be a full circle bolt on bell housing.
