HEIS NOT BLACK OR TAN... THANK YOU...BUT, I NEED TO RESERACH THIS... If your dog has had the parvo shots, then you know that is not one of your worries. Next on your list would be, has he had any injuries? Jumped up on something and fell back down on his butt. Also, age can effect their back. Because of his long back and short legs, they are pron to back injuries. He could have a disc injury. The swelling is very hard to see, and the only way to find the area of the back that might be injuried is to very lightly press along his back, BUT this can cause MORE damage if it is broken! Not being able to walk on hind legs is one of the signs of a back injury, also pain will decrease appetite. This is the first thing that leaps to mind because they do have a tendency for back injuries. I strongly recommend that you take him to the vet ASAP! I'd call ahead of time, giving them time to prepare for your dog, But I'd take him now! Good Luck!
