check plugs and wires, and the fuel filter for proper installation. Fuel filters have a directional arrow on them, to indicate which way to install them. If it is in backwards, that can cause fuel starvation and stalling under load, such as when you are accelerating.
Go to a muffler shop and have it welded back on or replaced
HeyHoward==If it is coolant the engine will overheat quickly and the engine will smoke white smoke. The head gaskets will need replaced. It can be normal condensation if it is pretty clear water. Good luck, Joe
The muffler is probably worn out and should be replaced.
you cant must be replaced
The replacement of a muffler on your 1999 Ford Contour should cost approximately $90. Most of the time when the muffler needs to be replaced there are several other exhaust components have will also need to be replaced.

Your muffler is probably loose. Corrosion is common in exhaust systems and parts need to be replaced from time to time.
Its not coolant. It is vapor that condensed and formed into water as your muffler cooled from the last time it was used. Could be indication of a bad head gasket
The muffler is at the end of the exhaust pipe and reduces the sound emitted from it. An example of a sentence using the word "muffler" is "The mechanic had to replace the muffler and a section of the exhaust. "
If only when cold--normal. Condensation being burned as vehicle warms up. If all the time or when vehicle is at normal operating temperature--could be a leaking head gasket--allowing coolant into the combustion chamber
A lawnmower muffler should be replaced if you notice excessive noise during operation, which may indicate damage or wear. Additionally, if there is visible rust, cracks, or holes in the muffler, it can lead to exhaust leaks, reducing performance and efficiency. Regular maintenance checks can help identify these issues before they become serious problems. Always consult your lawnmower's manual for specific guidelines on muffler replacement.
