Something you ate was rotten
Cause its burnt.
No. Sounds like the catalytic converter is going bad. Rotten egg smell is a sign
Presence of sulphur.
If an automobile battery is in normal condition, there should be very little smell from it. The one smell that you should be aware of is the smell of rotten eggs, which indicates severe and dangerous problems with the battery. Once a battery begins to smell like rotten eggs, it cannot be saved, but must be immediately replaced. Please be aware that rotten-egg batteries can explode. Rotten-egg batteries are frequently much hotter than normal batteries would be, and the hot rotten-egg batteries are the most dangerous. The most common cause of rotten-egg batteries is an alternator which constantly overcharges, so the alternator should usually be replaced along with the battery.
Is it a fish smell or a rotten egg smell ? FISH SMELL COULD BE A BAD HEATER CORE, THIS WOULD CAUSE YOU NOT TO HAVE HEAT IN THE CAR , BUT IT MIGHT NOT CAUSE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO COME ON UNLESS MAYBE CAR IS LOW ON COOLANT. ( THERE MIGHT BE A LOW COOLANT SENSOR TO TRIGGER CHECK ENGINE LIGHT) ROTTEN EGG SMELL COULD BE A CLOGGED CATALYTIC CONVERTER , WHICH WOULD CAUSE THE OXYGEN SENSOR TO TRIGGER THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, BUT IT WOULDN'T CAUSE THE LOSS OF HEAT.
I would use a spray that takes out smells.
SOUNDS LIKE THE BUSHINGS IN THE BLOWER MOTOR Check your heater core...it may be dried out. This can cause a rotten egg smell. can also be valve cover gasket and you just don't smell it when the air isn't on. http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiBroker?UseCase=S001&UserAction=viewSimpleDiagInfo&Parameters=info
It may or may not...if there is some acid in the solution, then sulfur is a byproduct of the equation, which will lead to a sulfur smell. However, I don't feel like it would cause the smell, without at least a catalytic amount of acid.
If a car begins to smell like rotten eggs and then starts acting like it has bad gas, it may have been filled with the wrong type of fuel. This smell is common when diesel fuel is burned.
Clogged catalytic converter or y-pipe. I had the same problem. Also, if you smell rotten eggs or have lack of power under load as symptoms as well, I can almost guarentee it.
clogged catalytic converter Agreed.......the smell of rotten eggs is an indication you have a problem with your cataltic converter
Normally that would mean an ulcer. Check with your doctor.
