Too much exertion can cause the heart to beat so fast that it doesn't pump as much volume of blood as it should. This can cause dizziness and possibly even unconsciousness. It can be serious and no one should be stressing themselves to such a degree as passing out. If someone is getting dizzy while doing just light exercise, there may be an underlying health problem. A check up at the doctor is in order.
