I am answering my own question..LOL there is a recall on 2000-2001 Ford focus's involving a loosing Torque bolt on the front suspension causing noise, vibration and sometimes ball joint separating. Thankfully we just have noise and vibration but that's bad enough when it's your daughters car!
It might be a broken motor mount or transmission mount.
Tune up
If other things vibrate as well as the steering wheel you might have a damaged motor/transmission mount.
A weak pump or partially clogged fuel filter can cause this.
You might want to check your main vacuum line
Check your motor mounts.
Engine miss or rough idle, or broken motor mount
Check the idle, crankshaft and camshaft sensors.
Check the motor mounts.
Yes if it is stuck open.
what does idle funny mean? Does the whole car shake? (upper engine mount collapsed) Or does the engine shake/misfire? (Intake manifold gasket)
If the rpms are above normal the most likely problem is a vacuum leak at the intake side of the engine. This condition will also typically cause a rough running situation at idle. Another thing that could cause a car to rev up and shake is a bad ecc(computer). also check your motor mounts if you have an old car.
