How do you replace windshield washer pump 2006 impala?

Pull out the pins that secure the inner fender to the bumper. Next pull out the pin that secures the inner fender to the undercarriage air dam. Note 1: ( You should only need to remove 4 pins total. This should give you enough flexibility with the inner fender.) After the pins are removed, you can pull back on the inner fender and reach the window washer pump. First, you will want to unplug the power harness. Note 2:( It is easier to remove the washer hose with the pump in hand.) Next, you will want to remove the washer pump by pulling out on the top side and sliding it up out of the jug. After you have removed the pump, you may hold the 90degree hose connector and turn the pump counter-clock-wise while pulling out on it. The pump should come off of the hose fairly easy using this method. Note 3 ( pulling directly outward on the hose may cause it to snap.) For reinstallation, you may repeat these steps in reverse order.

How do you remove the windshield washer reservoir on a 2000 GC Limited?

To ensure you do not cause any electrical problems, disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove the liner from the drivers side front fender wheel house. Remove the air cleaner housing from the top of the drivers side front fender wheel house. [Remove the air duct from the air filter cover. There are three bolts that retain the air cleaner housing. Each is attached with two nuts (lower/upper). Do NOT remove the bolts. Remove only the lower nuts to prevent stripping the bolts. The lower housing nuts are located under the drivers side front inner fender. You will have to remove the rubber inner fender shield retaining clips. Pull the shield back far enough to access the lower nuts and remove them.] Disconnect the two washer reservoir hoses from the two engine compartment washer hoses at the in-line connectors located on the top of the drivers side front fender wheel house. Open the washer reservoir filler cap and unsnap the filler cap hinge from the hook on the filler neck. Remove the screw that secures the washer reservoir filler neck to the left inner fender shield. Disconnect the drivers side headlamp and dash wire harness connectors from the two washer pump connector receptacles. Remove the two screws that secure the inboard mounting tab of the washer reservoir to the drivers side inner wheel house. Pull the bottom of the washer reservoir rearward far enough to access the washer fluid level sensor wire harness connector on the front of the reservoir. Disconnect the drivers side headlamp and dash wire harness connector from the washer fluid level sensor connector. Pull the bottom of the washer reservoir rearward far enough to disengage the outboard mounting tab from the mounting slot on the inner fender shield. Rotate the washer reservoir far enough so that the inboard mounting tab clears the front suspension components, then lower the reservoir far enough to remove the filler neck from the engine compartment.

What happens when you add windshield washer fluid to cooling system?

Adding windshield washer fluid to a vehicle's cooling system can lead to several issues. Windshield washer fluid typically contains methanol and other detergents, which are not designed for engine cooling and can cause corrosion, reduce cooling efficiency, and potentially damage the engine. Additionally, the fluid may not have the necessary freeze protection or boiling point characteristics needed for proper engine operation, leading to overheating or freezing in extreme temperatures. It's important to use the appropriate coolant specified by the manufacturer for optimal engine performance and longevity.
