I think you should get your dad something he would use and what he likes. If he enjoys wearing jewellery get him a personalised necklace (mens obviously) saying DAD or something like that. If he is like my friends Dad and loves Golf and Football etc get him something to do with that. If your budget is really really low don't get him anything, the gift of love is the biggest and nicest gift anyone can give your dad. Just be cool and find the perfect gift! I know u can! Good luck!!
