61 Cygni is a binary star system consisting of two orange dwarfs. Because of this configuration it is unlikely that any planets would have been able to form because of the gravitational tug of the two stars.

To date, no planets have been confirmed in this system.

What is the absolute magnitude of cygni?

Something is missing from your question. Cygni is not a star. The constellation name is Cygnus. The star will have a name like Alpha Cygni or 25 Cygni.

Moon is to satellite as earth is to What?

If the Moon is to a satellite, then Earth is to a planet. The Moon is a natural satellite orbiting Earth, just like artificial satellites orbit Earth. Similarly, planets are natural satellites orbiting stars, like Earth orbits the Sun.

What are the different artificial satellites launched into orbit?

The different artificial satellites launched are Low Earth Orbiting Satellites for Remote sensing, Medium Earth Orbiting Satellites like GPS , Geo Stationary Orbiting Satellites for Communication and Molnia Satellites again for Communication. These are the different artificial Satellite orbiting the Planet Earth.

What keeps the moon orbiting around the earth?

Orbits are established by the combined effects of gravitational attraction and relative velocity. In other words, the moon, like any orbiting body, moves forward (tangent to its orbit) at a speed just sufficient to ensure that as it falls toward the earth due to gravity, it has moved far enough that the two motions combine to keep it at a roughly stable distance from the earth.

What is going to happen if you Imagine tying a string to a ball and twirling it around you how is it similar to the moon orbiting earth?

The string acts like the gravity of the earth. the circular motion of the ball imitates the orbit of he moon.

What planets have three suns?

16 Cygni Ab, it is named like this since it orbits the main star, with two stars orbiting outside it's orbit. there are four objects in that system. 16 Cygni A, 16 Cygni B, 16 Cygni C, and 16Cygni Ab. to find out how the names work, there are plenty of lists out there on binary star/planet system naming.

Would a satellite orbiting the earth go through phases like those of the moon?

Yes.

Are there Earth like planets?

Perhaps orbiting around other stars, but we have yet to find them.

Why does sataurn have rings?

it is dust and rocks/debris orbiting the planet, it is like how the moon orbits earth.

If earth were not a spherical object what would have happened?

in order for it not to become spherical, it would have had to be much smaller. if it was much smaller, it would just be some rock floating around like the millions of similar rocks orbiting the Sun.

Can a moon have moons?

Yes. Think of it like this, and object, orbiting an object, orbiting an object, orbiting an object. If Earth can orbit the sun with the moon still orbiting the Earth, then what keeps a moon from orbiting our moon? Size and distance. Yes, in theory, but very unlikely to be a stable system.

How many pieces of junk are orbiting Earth now?

a couple ton i think something like that

To Which star is super earth orbiting?

There is no single planet called "Super Earth." Rather it is is a new class of planet; similar to Earth in structure and composition, but larger. A number of super Earth planets have been discovered orbiting other stars. Note that such planets to not necessarily have surface conditions like those on Earth, but simply have rocky surfaces.

Is there more than one moon orbiting around your planet?

In terms of the earth, there is only one moon orbiting around it. In terms of other planets, some planets, like Mars or Venus and Murcury have no moons. Other's like all the Gas Giants have more than one moon orbiting it.

Is there is a earth like planet 20 million light years away?

Our scientists have located about 400 "exoplanets", planets that are orbiting other stars. We have not yet found any earth-like planets; so far, every planet we have discovered is very massive, more like Jupiter than Earth. But our instruments are barely able to detect even giant planets orbiting nearby stars; there is no possible way that we could identify a planet 20 million light years away, which would be in a different galaxy. So the answer would be, "We don't know. Yet."
