Best Answer

It would all depend on the mass of the planets, their velocity and density.

If two planets of equal composition collided at medium velocity, then in all likely hood, they would destroy each other sending billions of rocky "asteroids" into the Solar System. However, if they were still molten - as in the beginning of the Solar System - it would most likely result in a slightly larger planet with a very dense core - and possibly one or more extra moons.

Basically, they won't.

But for the sake of the question, Earth would be slowly ripped apart as the gravitational attraction of Jupiter pulled matter off of the Earth. As the Earth was engulfed in Jupiter's atmosphere, the surface of Earth would be slowly crushed and finally merged with Jupiter. Jupiter would have gained a little in size and mass.

if that happened, earth would most likely be destroyed because of how large Neptune is. Neptune is about 58 times bigger than earth so we would be consume as if we were a grape...hope this helped!!!!run like with wind ha ha

It would cause an amazing amount of damage, possibly ending life on this planet. Ceres is much bigger than the asteroid that caused the extinction of the dinosaurs.
