If this were to happen, then it would ruin the whole food web in that area because small animals and rodents are dependent on plants for food. If they don't get their food, then they starve to death. If they die, then their predators starve as well and so forth and so on...

∙ 10y agoEverything else dies because plants are producers and the source of food for all organisms. Plants are eaten by herbivores and omnivores, which are then eaten by carnivores or other omnivores. This means that if there are no plants, the rest of the ecosystem dies out.
