Water, carbon, oxygen, nitogen, and phosphorus are 5 or the most important substances for life. An ecosystem must be able to cycle these kinda of matter in order to support life. So I would assume that if matter could not cycle through and ecosytem then life would not be supported.

Hope this helps!

What would happen if matter could not decompose?

If matter could not decompose, there would be a buildup of waste and dead organisms, leading to overcrowding and resource depletion. Nutrient cycling and ecosystem functioning would be disrupted, ultimately causing a collapse in biodiversity and ecosystem health.

What could happen to an ecosystem with to many beavers?

a ecpsystem with too many beavers is that the beavers will die and eat the trees

What would happen to the ecosystem if there was no ostriches?

The absence of ostriches in an ecosystem could disrupt the balance of that ecosystem. Ostriches play a role in controlling vegetation and insect populations through their feeding habits. Their absence could impact other species that depend on these resources for survival.

What would happen if species disappeared from an ecosystem?

If a species disappeared from an ecosystem, it could lead to disruptions in the food chain, loss of biodiversity, and could impact the overall health and balance of the ecosystem. The disappearance of a key species could also have cascading effects on other species and the functioning of the ecosystem as a whole.

Which of these could be omitted from an ecosystem decomposer producer consumer?

Producer could be omitted, as decomposers and consumers can still function in the ecosystem without producers. Decomposers break down organic matter, while consumers feed on producers or other consumers.

What is piece of matter moving through space.?

It could be a meteor.

Decomposers are a necessary part of a healthy ecosystem because they?

break down organic matter into simpler nutrients that can be recycled back into the soil, making those nutrients available for other organisms in the ecosystem. This decomposition process also helps to clean up dead plant and animal matter, preventing an accumulation of waste that could harm the ecosystem.

What would happen to an ecosystem if there were no honey bees and amphibians?

the honeybees would not give out honey and amphibians would not eat insects then we could not survive

What do you think would happen if one important population of animals or plants vanished from the ecosystem?

The loss of an important population of animals or plants could create a ripple effect throughout the ecosystem. It may disrupt food chains, alter habitat structure, and lead to imbalances in population dynamics. This could ultimately impact biodiversity, ecosystem stability, and the services provided by the ecosystem.

What would happen without any decomposer in nitrogen cycle?

Without decomposers in the nitrogen cycle, dead organic matter would accumulate as it is not broken down into nutrients that can be used by plants. This would lead to a lack of nitrogen availability for plant growth, disrupting the ecosystem's functioning and impacting all organisms within it. Ultimately, this could result in ecosystem collapse due to nutrient imbalance.

What would happen if a plant lacks stomata?

Water could not pass through it and it could not function.
