Actually, just over 20% of the world's oxygen comes from the Amazon Rainforest. Added to this, To date, at least 40,000 plant species, 3,000 fish, 1,294 birds, 427 mammals, 428 amphibians, and 378 reptiles live in the Amazon Rainforest. They would all lose their habitats. Also, lots of medicines can be found in the Amazon and there are lots of plants that might provide cures for diseases and if the Amazon was destroyed, we'd never know.
