You would end up with a constantly runny nose, and probably get sick more often. The cilia help to sweep out debris, bacteria, and other bad things that are inhaled into the nose. They also have some functions in smell, so you might not smell things as well.

∙ 11y agoWhen you breath in air your cilia stops all the dirt from getting into the larynx or trachea so that you aren't breathing in dirty air. When your cilia doesn't work properly which sometimes happens because of smoking it lets in all the gasses and and dirty air. When you smoke the dirty air is the smoke from the cigarette. The dirty air begins to break up the cilia and and make it weak letting in dirty air because the cilia can't stop it any longer.
