What would happen to the flow of energy if all the mice were removed?

There are many thoughts on the subject of the disappearance of snakes:

• If the snakes disappear,then there will be an imbalance in the ecosystem because farmers depend on the snakes to control the rats. As the population of snakes go down the rat and bandicoot population raises and it results in the damage to the crops and hence decreasing the productivity and thus leading to scarcity of the food crops and as a result the prices of the agricultural products go up and the poor will not be able to afford such high priced products and this leads to the death of the poor.
• Snakes keep down the rodent population, that carry disease that spread plagues, which can kill people. They are no different from any other creature on this earth.
• If all snakes became extinct at once nobody knows what would happen but. Scientifically if any species on earth becomes extinct there will be a population boom in the prey of the extinct animal... therefore the snake would effect the population of these insects and animals, houseflies, rodents, misc insects, the dying out of snakes may also increase the American housing market from "snake infestations."
• If all the snakes disappeared, then a number of species will be affected. The population of mice and rabbits would grow uncontrollably. Any predators of the snakes would die out unless they adapt and find another source of food. In turn, possibly the whole animal food chain could crumble.
• Rats would cause another plague that would wipe out the entire human population
• If all the snakes went extinct, we don't have to worry or fear about their venomous and deadly bite.
